Bridgefy uses the the Signal protocol, also adopted by WhatsApp. This could help with the evolution of m-ld security, not just if using Bridgefy (or Signal itself) but also for security on other remotes like MQTT. https://github.com/m-ld/m-ld-security-spec/issues/11
These two considerations may be suggestive of the potential (or need) for a deeper integration than purely as an opaque 'remotes' extension. Probably that's still the place to start, though. |

Doesn't even use the internet.
Potentially some brainstorming around the fact that connectivity between clones will be much more variable, you perhaps don't want Bridgefy to be hopping the message from clone A's messaging layer to clone C's via clone B's, rather, expose to m-ld the lack of connectivity between A and C.
