Hi everyone, I'm an accordion player and as this is a delightfully unstandardized instrument there are many ways of notating it. Since on Stradella bass accordions, there are rows for bass notes and chords, there are various methods of writing out which notes are to be played on a normal bass clef line.
The only current way of notation, at least with correct playback on Musescore: writing out the entire bass chord. This is, while avoiding ambiguity, a rather cumbersome way of notating music
Using the bottom half of the stave for bass notes, and the top half for chords, where we just write the note the chord is named after. If no marking is given, this notation is taken as being a major chord, however, we can notate the chord above the stave, and from then onwards when we see that note in the top part of the bottom stave it will be taken as this chord. For example, in this image, you would play an A bass note and then two A minor chords. Also, see I have just used an 'm' here you could also use 'Am'
Also, it is likely that due to the lack of standards on this instrument, there are many more.
I am, while interested in contributing for this feature, rather unknowing of how a project like Musescore is structured and also do not know C or C++.
