I have often been irked by the fact that Tidal sets up a queue separate from the currently playing album/playlist queue. This makes it such that I have to think about whether to queue up the entire album (and what it will play after) just in case I may want to add a track in between.
I have an idea on how to merge the 2 queues using a checks for custom queue length > 0 every time a song ends or whenever queue is displayed. Instead of interplating the 2 queues, which would be tricky to edit, it seems like a clearer path forward to interpolate just the view of the queue and for playback check the custom queue.
This would require the custom queue to contain a Song object (or a wrapper) that includes a index in the currently playing collection, with the custom queue song triggered at the end of the song at that index. If a currently playing collection song is moved into the custom queue, these indexes would need to be recalculated. Hopefully this would not break compatibility, requiring lots of Eithers.
I am open to working on this myself but don't see any of the necessary types in the public sdk. I can do the work pro bono in spare time or, if there is any interest in such a partnership, via the consulting company I work for (see: improving.com).
Thanks for all the great work!
