Describe the bug
I am leaving this here as a future note to fix the current issue. I have addressed via comments the problem and a temporary and working fix. But for the sake of how the uriParser should function it is essential to fix it.

The uriParser fails to appropriately update the url.href when an endpoint is detected as an input
