This is a smaller one for me and possibly hard to solve cleanly, but recently I ran into an issue where I happened to be deploying to a FreeBSD machine. There weren't prebuilt things for some things depending on C, which worked fine for two dependencies and bombed out for a third (luckily, the third wasn't actually necessary there). Separately, it'd both have been nice to know that the prebuilt stuff wasn't there, and to have an idea what might or might not successfully compile.
(should this be something you need to test, the two successful packages were
advpng-bin
andbetter-sqlite3
and the failing one was the more-usedsqlite3
that was still in my dependencies due to an older script I hadn't rewritten to use the other library, and the particular hosting provider running FreeBSD that I was using is nearlyfreespeech dot net)Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
