Cannot record trips in the background. #94
Comments
I've tried a couple of GPS tracking apps on iPad, and they can record in the background. "GPS Status" and "TrackMe". |
Fixed with f13ad56 |
Its very strange situations. Very critical bug is not fixed about one year... And now in appstore version with bug. |
Hi, the fix hasn't been included in the app store version yet. However, the new version should be available shortly. When it comes out, please test the recording to see if the issue persists. |
We're in a process of ios moderation this month (the whole month, fuf). Github is a development tracker that bug is already fixed and could be verified via TestFlight, so please feel free to contact support and get a TestFlight version. Anyway we hope to get this release through before Februrary. |
Cannot record trips in the background on iPad mini 4, or iPhone 6s.
iOS 11.2.6 on both.
OsmAnd Maps 2.0.1 on both.
I have Privacy -> Location Services, On.
In Location Services, OsmAnd Maps is set to Always.
In the OsmAnd Maps settings, Location is set to Always.
On both devices, I would expect to be able to continue recording a track while the iOS home screen is showing. But when I switch back to OsmAnd Maps, there is a pause while it gets the current location, then the app jumps to the current location and draws a line from the previous location (when the app was last displayed) to the current location. It misses all the points in between, when I was traveling with OsmAnd Maps in background.
I note that OsmAnd Maps is not in the Background App Refresh list, at all. Not sure if this is important.
