Not reproducible with latest map data. What routing parameters do you use?

Seems to be working correctly when choosing start and end point like in your example.
I was driving from Marrakech to Essaouira at that time.

Navigation told me to take highway=secondary and connect to the motorway for a few km before changing to Avenue Essaouira, which is mapped as highway=primary.
Since I wanted to take Avenue Essaouira from the beginning I ignored directions. Osmand kept sending me back until it suddenly accepted to stay on Avenue Essaouira, whereby it produced this strange detour shown in the initial post.

If I choose start point like you I still can't reproduce this issue.
