Description

Since I am blind, I am looking forward to the dedicated accessibility features in Osmand. However, sadly the clock-wise directions aren't working. The issue I created just previously, #19209 , is possibly related.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Enable accessibility extension
  2. Go to settings, walking profile and turn accessibility mode on from there
  3. Select clock-wise directions
  4. Plan a route and start navigation

Actual result

Directions aren't announced clock-wise, but in the classical way (left, right), being less precise because of less available sectors.

Expected result

I expect the directions to be spoken clock-wise when exactly this setting is turned on.

Your Environment (required)

OsmAnd Version: 4.5.10
Android/iOS version: Android 14
Device model: Google Pixel 7

The bug has been reproduced. Here are the steps to reproduce:

  • Main menu > Plugins > Enable the Accessibility plugin
  • Turn on accessibility mode on the Android system.
  • Menu > Settings >Pedestrian profile settings > Accessibility > Select clock-wise directions > Start point-to-point navigation

As a result, clockwise directions do not work.

Clockwise directions likely were implemented for POIs, so if you click on POI it was announced distance and direction.

We need to go through design phase to understand exactly what was implemented before and reimplement it.
