It would be nice if the app saved the window size (right now it always starts in full screen mode)

Wouldn't this be the job of the window manager in Linux at least? Window managers and DE's typically have a way to launch and save window sizes. Just wondering if this is really a high priority issue or if it would be trivial to solve.

I don't have a linux machine. I would investigate the issue (as it is low priority) in a UTM host later and report back what could be done. @lowerclasswarfare
