Given the change in the baseline parameters caused by the TCJA, the PolicyBrain presets need to be removed and re-evaluated. You can find the old presets here:

TODO:

  • remove presets
  • re-evaluate presets and add them back

Have you looked at how Tax-Calculator has handled this issue?

Only briefly and that was in January. I need to spend some time on this. @martinholmer If you have some educational github exchanges or documentation on hand, would you mind posting those links?

@hdoupe asked for more info on how Tax-Calculator dealt with older reforms after TCJA became current law.

Look at Tax-Calculator pull request 1803.
