The following are a few unresolved issues regarding content on the osl-pelican site:

  • The link to the privacy policy in the donate FAQ is broken (where is the privacy policy located on the osu foundation site, by the way? I can't find it)
  • The OSL is no longer hosting MeeGo. Is there anything else that should be removed from the list of hosted projects? Mozdev, GOSCON, and KernelTrap all have broken links.

Other things to consider:

  • services/hosting/details: maintainproject.osuosl.org (displays as plain text) and FTP Map (error 404)
  • services/development: What's the status on TriSano? Their website doesn't seem to work anymore but I found their github: https://github.com/csinitiative/trisano
  • services/supercell: Lance's LinuxCon 2010 slides cannot be accessed

@osuosl/web-reviewers Time to address some of these problems because they basically all still exist.

  • Privacy policy link on the FAQ page is still broken.

The FAQ page is being updated (found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_z4VPU95zmAgohTdmkZ_5xuU1pp0paVky0ZU5Cmf4KM/edit). I think I found the right link??

Update (1/3): It is not the right link. Also, no one can seem to find the privacy policy.

  • Hosted projects page needs to be updated

  • maintainproject.osuosl.org now shows an error

  • FTP map shows an error

Update: 1/6

  • TriSano links

  • Lance LinuxCon slides

The link to the TriSano site now works, but I think we should update the Development page at some point (like there's nothing about Streamwebs). Lance's LinuxCon slides work but you can only go to the next slide by hitting the space bar. We might want to consider fixing that in the future.

I might be able to figure out some of these, but this is probably going to be a group effort to figure out where these links are supposed to go and what the correct urls are.

All references to maintainproject.osuosl.org can go away along with TriSano.

This is the context of the 'maintainproject.osuosl.org' link. Should we remove just the last sentence or more?

DNS Management

We offer Web-based DNS management and IP allocation through Maintain, a homegrown project of the OSL. Hosted clients can be given access to administer their own domain name using our Web interface. For more information about the Maintain application itself and how you can use it for managing DNS, IP and DHCP in your own organization, see maintainproject.osuosl.org_.

The TriSano reference has been removed in #121.

@kelnera I think for now let's just remove this section. What might make sense is creating a new "Core Services" Section that describes the base core services we provide. There are other things we could update in this page but that's probably outside the scope of this PR.
