I totally acknowledge that this is most likely something I screwed up regarding my SSL certs, but wanted to throw this out there to see if anyone has been through this.
I run a mastodon instance and an owncast instance on the same machine (via Yunohost). I have DNS pointing to my machine where Nginx Proxy Manager takes care of my SSL certs and points them to the right port (reverse proxy). When I go to follow my own instance from my home mastodon instance, I get this error: There was an error following this Owncast server. Please verify you entered the correct user account. It's also possible your server may not support remote following, so you may want to manually follow xxxxx@stream.mydomain.TLD using your service's own interface. Server error: Get "https://myMastodon.tld/.well-known/webfinger?resource=acct%3Ausername%40myMastodon.tld": x509: certificate signed by unknown authority
When I try manually following from my mastodon search bar, I get this error: 422 Mastodon::HostvalidationError on https://stream.mydomain.TLD/.well-known/webfinger?resource=acct:myaccount@myinstance.tld
Can anyone point me in the right direction of fixing this? Both my Mastodon domain and my stream.subdomain.tld both have certs generated by LetsEncrypt, fresh within the last 2 weeks. I tested with another instance (i have a separate mastodon account on mas.to) and it worked fine, so it's wholly related to my setup somehow.
