composer.json still has:

  "require-dev": {
    "phpunit/phpunit": "^5.7",
    "jakub-onderka/php-parallel-lint": "^1.0",
    "bamarni/composer-bin-plugin": "^1.2"
  },

we can get rid of phpunit and php-parallel-lint like is done in other app repos.
