Hi guys,

Was wondering if anyone found a way to identify the background color?

Would be nice to adapt icons acording to theme... black icons on a dark theme looks ugly ;)

... currently trying to find a way

If you use the gnome icons, gtk will do it for you.

Have a look at this page for names https://standards.freedesktop.org/icon-naming-spec/icon-naming-spec-latest.html

weather-few-clouds will give you a color icon
weather-few-clouds-symbolic will give you a monocrome icon that will change depending on your theme
