UI Issues when unable to connect to IM #6

If the program cannot connect to the instrument because hyperterminal output isn't running or because the wrong COM port is selected then the Start Acquisition button becomes available before the program realises there is an issue with the connection. The button continues to be available even after the connection error appears.
