Please take a look: same corpus, different time selections:
1820-2013
1960-2013
1970-2013
-2013
I guess the opacity in the first three makes sense - the program is less 'confident' about the proportions in the early years than in the final years.
But why is there a difference between 1970-2013 and just -2013? Any thoughts?
As I'm at it - three more points:

  • we have observed that the gradients do not display in Google Chrome. They do appear in Firefox.
  • is there any way to change the gridlines? E.g. right now, within a decade, there are 6 gridlines, which makes a bit hard to track back to the actual year. I guess 5 would be better, if possible
  • how should be interpret the first streamgraph?

Thanks much! We still love papermachines and are starting to use it more and more. Can't wait for version 4! Keep up the good work!

-Stephan
