Project Status?

Is this project no longer being developed/maintained?

It's nearing 2 years since the last commit and there are issues and PRs since then that don't seem to be addressed.

If the project is no longer being developed further, but is still maintained to some degree, could that please be mentioned in the README, or if it is no longer being maintained either, can that be pointed out in the README?

@markdascher seems to be the maintainer, they committed since I raised this issue over 4 years ago.

For those interested in an alternative there is Vector, they have a syslog source among many others including one for files. They don't have a syslog sink (output syslog) but there are discussions requesting one with some attempts to implement that, but there are plenty of other sinks that may suit your needs just as well.
