<div type="commentary" subtype="frontmatter" xml:space="preserve"><p>Medical tag (P.Prag. 3.249). Rectangular papyrus ticket written on both sides. The recto bears the remains of a documentary text, written in a cursive hand along the fibres and broken on all the edges. The verso contains a medical tag, written along the fibres as well and almost complete. In indicating both the therapeutic indication and the medical substance with its quantity, the text is not paralleled by any other known medical tag. The handwriting can be dated to the 7th century AD.</p><p><note type="footnote" xml:lang="en">This papyrus has been digitally edited by Nicola Reggiani as part of the Project "DIGMEDTEXT - Online Humanities Scholarship: A Digital Medical Library based on Ancient Texts" (ERC-AdG-2013, Grant Agreement no. 339828) funded by the European Research Council at the University of Parma (Principal Investigator: Prof. Isabella Andorlini). The digital edition is mostly based on the previous edition (R. Luiselli, P.Prag. III 249).</note></p></div>
