<div type="commentary" subtype="frontmatter" xml:space="preserve"><p>Medical catechism (PSI 15.1510). Fragment (4.4x9.9 cm) from the top of a column copied on the verso (with the papyrus turned upside down) in a slightly sloping semi-literary hand. On the recto, traces of a register (III AD ?, in.). Medical definitions about tonsils (ll. 3, 6 <emph rend="italics">paristhmia</emph>, <emph rend="italics">antiades</emph>), partly paralleled by Rufus Ephesius, <emph rend="italics">De partibus corporis humani</emph>, 20-3. For the catechistic format (<emph rend="italics">erotapokrisis</emph>) of ll. 3, 10, cf. <ref target="http://www.papirologia.unipr.it/CPGM/medicalia/vocab/index.php?tema=8">Medicalia Online s.v. Catechism</ref>. Questions are articulated with indented headings (ll. 3, further marked by a large xi in line below, and 10).</p><p><note type="footnote" xml:lang="en">This papyrus has been digitally edited by Nicola Reggiani as part of the Project "DIGMEDTEXT - Online Humanities Scholarship: A Digital Medical Library based on Ancient Texts" (ERC-AdG-2013, Grant Agreement no. 339828) funded by the European Research Council at the University of Parma (Principal Investigator: Prof. Isabella Andorlini). The digital edition is mostly based on the previous editions (ed.pr. = M.Manfredi, "Specimina per il Corpus dei Papiri Greci di Medicina", ed. I. Andorlini, Firenze 1997, pp. 73-9; ed.alt. = F.
