Can't watch changes when there are dots in the root dir name

I think it's nothing about configuration.

🤔 Expected Behavior

Watches file changes and re-compiles correctly.

😯 Current Behavior

Parcel does nothing after I edit some code.

💁 Possible Solution

Rename the root dir, remove all dots. For example, change gnirob.github.io to gnirobgithubio, then it works well.

I'm having the same problem with my .github.io repository, and this is pretty annoying.

I'm also experiencing the issue - but with a parent directory with spaces and non-latin characters in the name
