There is a new NFT 2.0 pallet can be considered as the next generation of the well known pallet_uniques:paritytech/substrate#12765

I think it will be interesting to deploy this pallet on Trappist and eventually see if we can run a migration from the uniques pallet to this new pallet.

@stiiifff i would move this to M2. I think is more important to migrate XCM v3 than implementing this pallet and to migrate the storage from uniques to this new pallet.

Is this still relevant? I know that Rockmine is using the pallet-uniques so I'm not sure how useful it would be to have this pallet implemented since the NFTs wouldn't be able to be transacted via XCM. But I would like to dive into this pallet so I can go ahead and implemented on xcmv3-dev, and then include it with the runtime upgrade.

Also this could be really useful for the forum post since we can document the process we had to go though to migrate and upgrade the pallet with the chain already deployed.

I think not for now, but for sure it will in the future once the pallet-nft is ready in XCM terms.

Yes, an issue was opened today on substrate to fix that. paritytech/substrate#14349
