Images not rearranging after filtering

Hi all!

I am currently using the masonry plugin to load and arrange my images. I have set up the filters, but for some reason after I press the filter buttons, my images don't rearrange them selves like the demo. I've been trying to mimic the demo code for a while but still no success. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem

Edit: it seems like my

tag containing the list of items changes everytime i select a filter. However, it changes back its original properties 2 seconds later.
