I think its fair to say that the maintainers of this project have run out of time to work on it. This very much includes me. @lukeshumard and @Beaver6813 have been incredible project leads and stewards of scroll, but now is the time to find someone else to run the web's most popular infinite scroll solution.

I'd love to find someone who would like to take ownership of the project. We'd move the github project to your account. Finding contributors certainly isn't hard (see the 22 PRs!) but finding one person who is willing to call the shots on the project is.

I'd like to see this project drop its open issues down to < 20 within 3 months, so if you're up for that, chime in on the thread. I'd be happy to help with the transition.

Completely agree Mr Irish, other commitments have really reduced the amount of time I have to help maintain this awesome project unfortunately. Once the backlog is cleared it should be relatively easy to maintain. The main problem at the moment is that we have a bunch of good looking PRs that for the most part we can't accept as there's no time to test them properly afterwards.

But yeah, would be more than happy to lend some help to the new maintainer as needed as well.

I would be willing to help out if you'd like. I've been using this plugin pretty heavily at work over the past few months and have had to get pretty intimate with the code to make some feature modifications and a bug fix here and there. I've got a good bit of free time I could lend towards testing out the pull requests as well as looking into the issues in the queue.

@paulirish If nobody will be wiling to take care about the project, I can do so.

I'll be aiming into reducing project's open issues to 0 until the end of the year (with a little help from my friends).

@osmialowski I don't have administrative access to the project (yet) but I've started working through the pull requests and issues. I don't know how long it would take Paul Irish to answer your message (it was over a week before I was added to the project) but you could start helping now if you'd like.

If you create a fix for an issue, just submit a pull request and link to the issue and I will merge the PR and close any relevant issues.

@67726e you have collab access, though i suppose that's not everything admin has.

@paulirish One of the ongoing issues is documentation as discussed in Issue 65. Would it be possible for you to setup a GitHub Wiki since that requires admin access?

@paulirish Glad to help out with the WordPress plugin where I can. I remember it was discussed a while back (forgot how it was resolved), but may make sense to pull out and re-include as a submodule?

I would be interested in helping contributing. We have a team of front end devs that find this tool very useful so its worth putting time into.

@TechnotronicOz If you'd like to help, feel free to create Pull Requests for any issues you find and I'll integrate them into the project.

Just added @TechnotronicOz @benbalter and @jacopotarantino to the repo.

@benbalter doing wordpress plugin separately makes sense to me.

What have changed?

Not much… :/

Once a new owner steps up, I'm happy to transfer this repo to them to own and manage completely.

These folks currently have push access, but I'm happy to consider anyone:

@keriat Sounds excellent. I'd love to have you and fruitware's take this on. The project would benefit from your expertise.

You're added to the repo, let me know if anyone else should be added. Cheers!

Hey Paul!
Thanks, it's a honour for me to continue the development of such useful library. Could you please add https://github.com/Fruitware too?

@yurivictor

Thanks @benbalter. We use this heavily at the Post, so maintaining is pretty important to me. Reading through the issues now to see what all needs to be done.

Sounds cool. I would only do pull requests though as I'm not open to more commitment :)

I've been doing my best to keep up with new and old issues. Need to actually dig into the PRs though.
