I'm just learning a bit about Hadoop and what led to it and what do I see on a slide about how Facebook built something like Google's original MapReduce...stack: Databee. A quick google leads me to: http://www.databee.com/.

So, I guess it makes sense to find another name. Sorry I didn't notice that at the time you originally asked for ideas. A quick search seems to suggest

• datahummel and
• databiene
  are still free -- for what it's worth. :)
