seems with VS, the HttpResponse.Body is an instance of either

  • Microsoft.WebTools.BrowserLink.Net.ScriptInjectionFilterStream
  • Microsoft.AspNetCore.Watch.BrowserRefresh.ResponseStreamWrapper

Which causes our i/o pipelines to not function properly;

workaround:

  • disable "auto build and refresh option"
  • disable "CSS hot reload"
  • disable "hot reload"
