Evaluate Horizon 2020 for possible funding #93
Comments
We can look into this and see if we can receive some form of support from Berkeley. We do have some time until the deadline. |
We can get support from Berkeley. First we should look in how exactly we should apply. So find a concrete call from all possible calls which we want to apply to, see requirements there and so on. This types of grants take at least a month to prepare. Often more because you need other partners and have to do a lot of bureaucracy (contracts signing and so on). So we should start looking into this seriously soon. |
ict research and innovation OR innovation |
I think we should start looking into this as well. I think this is more urgent than #138. I talked also with a person from Zenodo (CERN project) http://zenodo.org/ about an idea that we could apply together maybe for something here. |
great, i've been at the site over the past two days, but I'm still not sure which category-- I'll look into zenodo and get someone on it edit: with zenodo I think Innovation, yes? |
Can you also add the main link here: https://github.com/peerlibrary/outreach/wiki/Funding |
Added. Zenodo is this: http://zenodo.org/ Open repository of data and publications. We could useful annotation interface for them. :-) |
I don't get this comment. |
Horizon 2020 is EU funding programme with many things for open science and open access. It is interesting that this time they allow also US organizations to apply. We should evaluate if there are any calls which would be suitable for us and then decide to apply. We would probably need more partners, and EU calls do require a bit of administration, so we will probably have to ask for more help from UC Berkeley in applying, but let's first see if there is anything useful at all to apply.
