slow or unresponsive typing

writing in the chat box slows down and is unresponsive for a few instants periodically after a few minutes of using (using the wayland session)
issue fixed on X11 buuuut

Thanks for reporting. Unfortunately, I don't use wayland as my daily driver yet, so it will take me some time to debug it.
