ie, if page links to itself, which I sometimes do, to sections.

I don't immediately see filtering this out in the ping/tackback code, but it must as I've never seen this behavior.

After a lot of feedback, I am not sure to disable selfpings or not... A lot of people are starting with selfpings to check if the plugin works or not.

To be clear, I mean pings from a page to that page. I use "self-pings" all the time when I link to older posts on my blog. Do people really have a post ping itself to test? I don't know why they would expect it to work, given ping/trackback never seemed to do that.
