Hi,
it seems that the plugin is not compatible with Leaflet version 1.8/1.9. See here:

1.9 (not working): https://jsfiddle.net/pr3s24y7/3/
Console: "wrong listener type: undefined"
The Fiddle-Code is using the example code.
I'd very much appreciate a fix. Thanks!
