Hello,

the power-up and speed-up textures apparently do not show up in the WipEout 2097/XL tracks in the viewer.

They do show up in the WipEout (1) tracks though.

So, any chance you could fix that?

Regards

PS:

Actually this needs to be rephrased:

It seems like some tracks are entirely covered with the checkpoint ground texture, like "Spilskinanke" and "Gare d'Europa" for example.

Any chance you could fix that?

Regards

I had a quick look at this, but couldn't figure out where the problem is. There's another set of .TRS, .TRF files in these tracks's folders, but these just seem to be for earlier versions of the same track (same textures, no vertex lighting).

Maybe the game doesn't use the "near" LOD version of the track textures from the .CMP file, but only the downscaled ones!?

Been trying to look after this, but since all tiles index are 0 in the TRF, it's quite clear these are from somewhere else ... yet to be found.

I'm posting my findings @ http://www.wipeoutzone.com/forum/showthread.php?9959-Reverse-engineering-of-Wipeout about the topic. (also the quite strange VEW format)
