Hi,

first you need to enable SNMP support and configure devices.

  • administration > settings > enable "SNMP module"
  • go to administration > devices, on the right there is new "cogs" icon, click on it
  • set SNMP details to connect to routers / switches via snmp
  • for queries select at least "get_arp_table" and "get_mac_table"
  • click test to see that queries are performed ok

After this is ok go to subnet you wish to scan, for "Select Scan type" select appropriate scan. It will go through all devices you enabled arp/mac scan for and try to detect mac addresses.

Hello Miha, thanks for reply!
I get this Error
2017-06-08 07_41_50-phpipam-ubuntu 64-bit - vmware workstation

Is it because we dont use Cisco devices?
We mainly use HP.

Maybe there is another way to do a MAC scan?
At this Moment i can do a manually subnet scan but only newly discovered devices get MAC addresses.

We wanted to use this function to automatically update our already scanned and added devices with MAC address.

Is there maybe another way or function that i dont know, maybe even in 1.2?

Thank you!

the OIDs are for cisco. maybe it's a good option if we could add mibs/oids from gui.

I have the same problem. It is more likely that the system has missing MIB files. Is there a workaround that solves this problem. I want to read Cisco routers.
If I use the snmp-mib downloader there are too many errors about php -m.

I also have the same problem, we have HP switches we would like to read out. Is there a way to overcome this? Any suces scanning them for VLAN's??

I am working with Fortinet and HP / Aruba, is there any solution to get the VLans or MACs?
