Peek does not capture mouse cursor on Xorg Session #1136

System Information

  • Distribution package: Ubuntu 22.04
  • Peek version: 1.5.1
  • GTK: Sorry, I do not know how to find out the gtk version
  • Additional info if applicable: Gnome 42.4

Describe the bug
As title. Enable mouse cursor capture in preferences and try to capture the screen. No mouse cursor is present in the rendered output.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior, for example:

  1. Start peek using command line or using "Activities"
  2. Record the screen as GIF
  3. Save
  4. Open recording. No mouse cursor is visible.

Expected behavior
Mouse course should be visible.

Additional context
It works when opening peek with peek -b ffmpeg

Same with Peek 1.5.1 on Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS
