System Information

  • Distribution package: debian/official main repo
  • Peek version: 1.5.1+git20211214-1
  • GTK: 3.24.35 (gtk-launch --version)
  • picom: 9.1-1
  • awesome: 4.3-6
  • xorg: 1:7.7+23

Describe the bug
with active picom on awesomewm i am not able to interact through the peek window. floating/sticky setting of clients don't change anything.
workaround: after starting the record toggle ontop state of peek window twice, then it gets into the background when focusing the to-be-recorded client and one can interact with it. recording is fine (tested webm).
shutting down picom changes the behavior and everything seems fine.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior, for example:

  1. start picom && awesomewm on xorg
  2. start to-be-recorded client && peek
  3. start recording - don't be able to interact with to-be-recorded client

Can confirm. Stopping picom fixes this for me.
