Constantly goes up and down in CPU Usage

[This is a late bug report since the support didn't answer my support ticket, and this repository opened last year]

PIA 2.5.1-05676 constantly consumed all the CPU usage in GNU/Linux.

Describe the bug

• pia-linux-2.5.1-05676.run issues for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on a Intel i7 with 32 Gb DDR4
• When I run PIA (/opt/piavpn/bin/pia-client) CPU heat goes up to 60 C temporary but often when I'm connected to PIA with OpenVPN or WireGuard? but not in idle mode.
• Seems like this issue has returned: "Fixed an issue causing high CPU usage on some Linux systems" v2.2.2, Release Date: July 15, 2020 - ​https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/changelog

To Reproduce
Just use the desktop client with the default settings

Expected behavior
Normal CPU use

Observed on:

• Windows 10
• Ubuntu 18.04

Has this been solved? If so, can you please point out the fix in the changelog?

I'm asking it here, because I don't want to pay for the service just to evaluate it again. I have no use for it if it fails.

Hello. I’ve been unable to reproduce this issue myself, nor have I seen any bug reports indicating this is an issue. Please let me know if that’s not the case for you however. Thanks
