ktlint version: 0.29.0

source file Test.kt:

class Test {
val t = "test"

fun testF() {
 println("test")
}
}

.editorconfig:

root = true

[*]
indent_style = space
indent_size = 2
end_of_line = lf
charset = utf-8
trim_trailing_whitespace = true
insert_final_newline = true

command run: ./ktlint -F -y --debug Test.kt:

[DEBUG] Discovered ruleset "standard"
[DEBUG] Discovered reporter "plain"
[DEBUG] Discovered reporter "json"
[DEBUG] Discovered reporter "checkstyle"
[DEBUG] Initializing "plain" reporter with {verbose=false, color=false}
