Will this be updated to be compatable with Firefox Quantum as it currently has been disabled in the add-ons? Thank you.

This project is ended because it is now a built-in feature on Firefox 57 and later.
You just go to about:config and turn browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInTabs to true.
See also the bug 658245 - Open bookmarks in a new tab configurable.
