Missing compatibility with "Old Lion Fullscreen" add-on

Hello,

this issue is a little follow-up of #645.
With the normal OS X full screen method the navigation bar does not disappear anymore but with the old method this issue is still taking place.

My workaround to fix this issue is just to comment out the 4 lines added in 65f1c79 but this would cause new issues for users of the new full screen method.

Is there a way to fix this issue for both methods at the same time?

Is seems like that 5e777a6 for #717 fixed this issue for me too. I can't reproduce the error anymore. Thanks! :)
