We use teensy 3.6 and SmartMatrix shield to convert our old curtain style Destination Sign to RGB led.
We are run a test right now off 2 cars. They are running on Dallas DART transit agency on the orange line DFW to Parker RD.
This is still prototyping and testing stage. Check out video off the project at the youtube link.
