Hey everyone.
I tried making some editing to the Thermostat json, but I'm very new to this.

What I'm struggling with Netatmo support on Homekit is that I can't set it to away mode. Not on the official implementation, nor any homebridge plugin.

The purpose of this is to add the missing geolocation feature to the thermostat. I can leave the scheduling being done on the Netatmo app, and have Homekit to temporarily boost temperature or set to the away schedule when everyone leaves the house.

Setting back to normal schedule when someone get's back. Basically mimicking the Tado thermostat.

Right now the plugin has support for maximum heating and frost-guard, which are arguably far less useful on the day to day automation than being able to switch to away schedule. It is supported on Netatmo api as "away" mode.

What you guys think? Useful?

Did anything like this every get realized? An away mode Google in HomeKit would be perfect for exactly the same reason as above.
Eventhough we have native HomeKit support now, this feature is still missing.

The only way I can find to do this is to resort to IFTTT … which I find to be very unreliable.
I have asked NetAtmo for a solution and they just think having IFTTT support means it’s done, which is very disappointing.
Has anyone else found another solution?

Hi, I totally agree.
I use the Tado homebridge plugin and there is a “away mode” that you can match on an automated scene, and I was desperately searching for the same thing on the Netatmo one.
I would literally pay for just a “away mode” switch on HomeKit :(
