It would be nice to have a database import/export so if Planka dies (it happens), we have a backup and can get back up to speed again. This also gives peace of mind to those who rely on Planka, and it will encourage more people to switch over to Planka.

Plans for PLANKA are much more complex than it seems right now. There will be a hosted version and there will be a much more powerful enterprise version in the near future. So dying out is definetely not on our list of features.

Beside that there will be import/export features at one point of course. We want to provide imports from other systems, but also we want to provide backup/export capabilities.

Almost 2 years later and nothing from those claims came true.

Work on PLANKA has resumed and while for you a long time has passed - making you frustrated - for others life has just really begun and provides many and sometimes more important tasks at times. Family and a job being just one of them.

This being said you can now follow new versions on Github.
