This excellent question was raised in #play-with-go on Slack - I think we can do a better job of answering it. Creating this as a general issue to capture feedback, which I will continually summarise in this description. Please feel free to add comments to this issue with your feedback/experience reports.

Questions

  • What level of knowledge is assumed?
    • Is knowledge of VCS necessary?
      • If so, should we have a guide dedicated to explaining that, including a remote repository?
    • Is running through the Go Tour an absolute prerequisite?

General feedback

  • Clicking through the steps and seeing them run is fun!
