Its very usefull to provide tooltip for axis points also.

If the axis points title is very long we are truncating it, but can't show tooltip on hover of it.

While I can understand the use case, I'm not planning to add this to the lib as it would add quite some complexity. That's something you might be able to achieve by implementing custom ticks though.
