We create 10-20 SharePoint sites per day using PnP PowerShell in an Azure function. In the function there is a Set-PnPWeb and Set-PnPFooter command (see bottom of code snippet below) which fails to run on a few sites sites each day. There are no errors messages. It just doesn't apply the settings. The commands before it and after it always work. Anyone know why these 2 commands randomly don't work?
My only theory is a command that runs before them could be causing the issue so I posted all the commands that run before them. Is it possible there's a race condition which would explain why it doesn't work at random times? Is it possible that commands later in the function could be undoing something? This is the only time Set-PnPWeb and Set-PnPFooter are used in the function. I can post the full Azure function if needed.
EDIT: I moved the 2 lines and placed them before Set-PnPSearchSettings and right after the connect and the issue still happens.
