I can replicate on Firefox 20. The picture is sharper and jagged. This illustrates that Chrome uses an nicer image scaling algorithm than the other browsers. This should be solved by resizing the image to various required sizes once obtained. Resolving #71 will fix this.

What's fascinating is that it's very apparent in JRE's logo because it's all round and curvy.
