Mainly a reminder for myself.

Polygon pads in kicad do not support thermal zone connection. The standard option without specifying zone connection is none. For a KLC complaint generation of chamfered pads we would need to add support for the zone connect parameter to pads and select zone connect 2 for chamfered pads.
