I know you already mentioned this was forthcoming, but thought I'd add a vote for it and some nice features to have:

  • Custom Analyzers that are attached to a specific index. Generally I add my analyzers to a particular index
  • Analysis based on a particular field within an index (nice for verifying that a field is doing what you think)
  • Specifying of a transient custom analyzer with filters, tokenizers, etc
