Hey!
Thank to you. I success to have the sidecar on my MBP 12mid.
And I find out that if the apple id of the ipad and macbook is different .Then the sidecar from macbook can't find the device!
But when i finally connect to my ipad pro within seconds. It turn out that "Could not connect to my ipad with error code(32002)"

Same boat, my devices are macbook pro 2016 (os version: beta9) and iPad air 2(os version: 13.1.1), the error code is 32002, and the ipad shows sidecar window but displays nothing.

Same error 32002 here, but if I try to connect Sidecar with lightning cable, works fine.

I was having this same error but figured out that it had to do with the "Trust" relationship. I was able to get sidecar working with a 2019 Macbook Air and iPad mini 4. I ended up plugging the iPad in using a USB-c to lightning cable, accessed the iPad via finder and went through the trust authentication steps. Prior to that my iPad would be displayed in the sidecar preference pane and the iPad itself launched the sidecar app but it stayed black.

it seems that nor that case, in wireless mode, no matter "Trust" or not, it stayed black when launched the sidecar.

Hi,

I hope all is well.

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) - macOS Catalina 10.15.6 and iPad Pro (3rd Generation) - 13.6 version.

The same issue, wifi doesn't work. With trust using USB-C to USB, I was able to establish a connection. However, it's slow, and curser doesn't position itself in the same location as Apple Pencil.

I wrote about my experience with it on my blog.

I hope the details help in releasing a newer patch.

Thank you,
Vye

If anyone runs into this, I got around it by airdropping a file from my MBP to the iPad and then trying to connect again. Maybe it establishes the connection/trust in a different way.

2021 mbp on Monterey and 5th gen iPad pro.
