"Show Applications" popup does not close by clicking anything outside of applications selection box.

Edit: This may be same as issue #324

Issue: when opening the application menu from the dock, you cannot close out of the dock by clicking the button again and you cannot access an apps down on the dock. You can escape the situation by clicking any application in the application selector or hitting escape.

Expected behavior: When clicking Show applications, I should be able to click the button again or click outside of the selection box and it should go away.
