After upgrading my bonw14 to 6.8.0, the display mode selector is missing in Settings > Displays when I have an external display plugged in:

If I boot oldkern (6.6.10), I can see the Mirror, Extend, Single display buttons at the top of this panel as expected.

Got an additional similar report from a Pop user in Mattermost with an HP desktop with a 1050Ti GPU

This is also happening for me on my Adder WS (addw2) with an external HDMI display. The result is that I can't change the scale of the external display (1920x1080) independently of the laptop display (4k).

If you need a workaround, booting oldkern brings the controls back.

@leviport - Yep, that's what I'm doing, although I have noticed that now the recovery "list" doesn't show up...I just know to hold Space and then press the down arrow to select the old kernel...not sure what that's all about.

In the systemd-boot menu, you can also set and unset a default entrty with the d key
