No matter how many times I try, each time I get the same error at about the 20% mark.

For reference, here is my network speed.

Do you also see failures/slowness when downloading the iso from https://pop.system76.com/ ? I've heard reports that the CDN the isos are hosted on sometimes doesn't give the best download reliability to users in certain locations.

No, it downloads flawlessly from there.

Edit : I tried again and it failed on me at around the same 20 percent mark. Though resuming from its last known progress(in ms edge) worked.

Also, I noticed just now that the recovery has been updated automatically with me having no memory of doing it myself later after making this issue. I should have checked the background network usage to find out if it was being downloaded anyway.

But I think I should leave this issue open so I could test and report on this the next time any update arrives for the recovery. Do let me know if you think otherwise.

(PS: It would be great for the Os upgrade and recovery page to show the dates when the os/recovery partitions were last updated.)
